Les Indiennes
Mary Mulcahy launched Les Indiennes in 2002. Les Indiennes work with craftsmen who still practice the ancient art of kalamkari- the complex printing method used to produce Les Indiennes fabrics.
The production of Les Indiennes fabric does not cause pollution nor does it disrupt the traditional lifestyle of the village where it is made. Les Indiennes provides fair trade employment for numerous families, raising the standard of living for the entire community, and all the while leaving no environmental or social footprint.
Below are some inspirational images of our favorite Les Indiennes fabrics. Kreatelier carries a wide variety of Les Indiennes swatches. Please visit our store to see more of these beautiful fabrics. All swatches can be borrowed to see the fabrics in your home.
